1. What the badge means
It means a moderator compared an official identity document with a photograph taken for the purpose, and that both match the person in the listing's photos.
It also confirms that the date of birth declared in the listing is the one on the document.
It is neither a recommendation nor a guarantee about how a meeting will go.
2. What to send
A photograph of you holding a sheet of paper on which you have handwritten the code shown in your account, together with today's date.
A photograph of a valid official identity document, on which only your photograph, your name and your date of birth need remain legible. You may cover the rest.
3. What we do with it
These documents are never published, never attached to your listing, and are visible only to the people carrying out the review.
They are erased as soon as the decision is made, whether it is positive or negative. We do not keep them just in case.
The name and date of birth you declared are kept for a short appeal window, so that a wrong refusal can be corrected without sending everything again — then they are cleared too, and only the date and the outcome remain.
4. Why bother
Verified profiles receive markedly more contacts: it is the first filter visitors use.
Verification is free and never required. An unverified listing can still be published.
